What moves the number
Six things that change your rate
Panel size
Very large single spans need thicker glass and heavier handling, pushing the rate up. Standard sizes are the most economical.
Order quantity
Volume matters. Orders above 500 sq ft attract trade rates; above 2,000 sq ft we price as a project, not per panel.
Glass build-up
Thickness, toughening, low-iron or double-glazed units all shift the base cost of the laminated unit.
Control system
A single wall switch is the cheapest route. Multi-zone, dimmable or BMS-integrated controls add cost per circuit.
Site conditions
Height, access, working hours and whether the space is occupied all affect the installation line, not the glass.
Location
Delivery within our four branch cities is included. Outside them, freight and crew travel are quoted transparently.

Why is PDLC glass priced per square foot?
The film and glass are both manufactured and cut by area, so area is the honest unit. Note that most suppliers apply a minimum billable area per panel — ours is 10 sq ft, and we state it upfront rather than burying it in the quote.
Is film or laminated glass cheaper?
Film costs less per square foot and avoids replacing your existing glass, so it is usually the lower total cost for a retrofit. Laminated glass costs more upfront but lasts 20+ years against 10–15 for film, so over a full building life cycle it often works out cheaper.
What does it cost to run?
Very little. PDLC draws roughly 5 watts per square metre while clear, and nothing at all when opaque. Ten square metres of switchable glass uses less power than a single LED bulb.
Do you charge for a site survey or quotation?
No. Survey, measurement and a written itemised quotation are free, with no obligation. We would rather you compared us properly.
Why are cheaper quotes out there?
Usually thinner, less uniform ITO conductive coating and adhesives without UV inhibitors. Budget film can yellow, haze or fail at the edges within three to five years. We are happy to show you the spec sheet behind our rate so you can compare like for like.
Can I get a budget number before drawings are ready?
Yes. Send an approximate area and space type and we will give you a concept-stage budget band the same day — useful for early cost plans.
