Switchable glass engineered in India · Pan-India survey & installation

Applications

Luxury homes and villas

Open-plan living wants glass. Living in it wants privacy. Switchable glass is how architects give clients both without falling back on curtains.

Where it lands in a home

Ensuite walls

A glass wall between bedroom and ensuite that goes private on demand — the most requested residential application.

Home offices

A study that stays visually connected to the house but turns private for calls and focused work.

Staircases and voids

Glass balustrades and stairwell screens that keep light moving through the volume.

Courtyard glazing

Full-height glazing onto private courtyards, clear by day and opaque at night.

Home theatres

Blackout privacy plus a ready-made projection surface in the same pane.

Pool and spa rooms

Wet-area laminated units connecting the pool hall to the house without permanent exposure.

Smart-home integration

In residential work the control system usually matters more than the glass. A Wi-Fi module brings the panels into the same app as the lighting, and voice control through Alexa or Google Home follows.

For homes running Lutron, Control4 or a similar system, we supply drivers that integrate directly rather than sitting as an isolated island of control. Tell us the platform at survey stage and we specify around it.

Scene integration is where clients notice the difference — a single 'goodnight' scene that dims lighting and turns every ground-floor pane opaque is a genuinely useful piece of automation rather than a gimmick.

Residential questions

Will it work with Alexa or Google Home?

Yes, with a Wi-Fi control module. The panels appear as switchable devices and can be included in scenes and routines alongside lighting.

Is it worth it for resale value?

Agents consistently report that switchable glass photographs well and differentiates a property in listings — particularly ensuite installations. We would not claim a specific percentage uplift; it is a differentiator rather than a guaranteed return.

How much does it add to the electricity bill?

Almost nothing. Around 5W per square metre while clear and zero while opaque — ten square metres uses less than a single LED bulb.

Can it be added to a house already built?

Yes. Retrofit film goes onto existing glazing for dry internal areas. Wet areas and external elevations should use laminated glass, which means replacing the pane.
